Girls – Stand Up and Roar!

 
Do not forget that memorable tune, “I Am Woman …”?  Properly women, ladies shoppers are a whopping 86 billion dollar phase of the market immediately – and it’s time to be acknowledged by the enterprise segment.

Over the previous 2 years, some California businesses have complained that state regulations and excessive utility prices make doing business so expensive that it’s practically not possible to make a profit.  The Colorado governor even takes personal trips to Silicon Valley attempting to woo companies to move. It’s true that California has some of the highest costs of doing business in the nation, but no research have proven that there’s an entrepreneurial exodus from our Golden State.  In reality, I see more hopeful entrepreneurs every week wanting to begin a enterprise in California, and an excellent portion are women.

Joel Kotkin, an knowledgeable on the California economy at Pepperdine College’s Davenport Institute for Public Coverage in Malibu, says that “Los Angeles and San Diego counties show extra businesses are being created than shutting down.”  In truth, many specialists consider that our benefit is our proximity to the Asian markets, excessive-quality mental capital, and a powerful custom of begin-up exercise that may make California outpace the remainder of the country in job growth.  (I hope the experts are right!)

No matter what the consultants believe or say, let’s face it – there are always those people who see solely the “down” aspect of every situation. They continually complain about the rain, and utterly miss the rainbow that follows with the sun.  Look, being an entrepreneur starting your individual business just isn’t for the faint-hearted!  If you don’t go into it along with your eyes extensive open, expecting some bumps along the road, then don’t go away that salaried job with its benefits.  I’ve heard so many people say, “I can’t go away my job now – I would like the benefits.”  They completely forget the advantages of getting a dream, and working laborious to make it a reality.  

There’s been a lot “hype” and “blather” from governmental and financial quarters that if you want to begin your personal business and you’re a lady, a minority, or both – you then’re a “shoe-in” for loans etc.  Don’t you consider it!  A financial institution, is a bank, is a financial institution – and all people searching for a mortgage must reply the financial institution’s 3 most burning questions.     1. How much of your own money are you investing in your self? 2. What are your belongings? And 3. How do you intend on repaying the loan?  Should you can’t satisfy the banker, then it doesn’t a lot matter whether or not you’re girl, minority, or vegetable the mortgage won’t be forthcoming.

Now I mentioned all that to say, don’t let that derail your dream.  Just keep on protecting on, and also you’ll learn the way it can be done.  There are lots of people out there prepared and waiting to rain in your parade – don’t give them the chance.  Allow them to rain all they want, you just keep on marching toward your goal.  You write that business plan, your targets for the primary yr – and the second- and the third.  If you can get over these first bumps in the road, then you’re in your method, as Dorothy said “Down the yellow brick highway”.

Those companies that go away for other states, are just leaving that rather more of the market for you to faucet into if you get started.

It appears that evidently I’ve heard more “You may’t” than “Go forward – give it a strive” lately, and I simply can’t perceive why so many people are so anxious to shoot you down than help you along.  I truly imagine that if that was what our founding fathers would have heard, we wouldn’t even have a California wherein to have a business.

I’m right here to inform you that if you have an entrepreneurial dream there are solely two questions it’s important to ask yourself.  They’re; 1. If I attempt it and fail, what’s the worst that can occur?  And 2. Is that actually any worse than if I don’t attempt in any respect?  Go forward – STAND UP AND ROAR!
